How It Works

The Veteran Empowerment Framework: our proven 6-step model that transforms veteran families into business owners.

The Silver Tsunami Meets America's Greatest Asset

Every day, 10,000 baby boomers retire. Many of them own thriving small and mid-size businesses with no succession plan — representing over $10 trillion in business value at risk of disappearing.

At the same time, thousands of highly trained military veteran families transition out of service each year — leaders forged in the most demanding environments on earth, with the discipline, drive, and character to run a business. They just need the opportunity.

Patriot Growth Capital bridges that gap. Our Veteran Empowerment Framework is a self-sustaining model that acquires proven businesses, trains elite veterans to lead them, and creates generational wealth — for veterans, investors, and communities alike.

From Service to Ownership — Our 3-Part System

Patriot Growth Capital's three-part system for taking veteran families from service and sacrifice to real ownership — and changing veteran family trees through business.

    Part 1

    Reality Checks (ATLVets)

Through our nonprofit, Advancing the Line for Veterans (ATLVets.org), we've served over 30,000 people in workforce and entrepreneurship programs. We bring veteran families, business owners, and executives into the same room so they can compare realities and decide if they want a different future for their family tree.

    Part 2

    Capital (Patriot Growth Capital)

Patriot Growth Capital finds and acquires internet-enabled businesses doing $2–10M in EBITDA, using institutional partners, family offices, credit investors, and our own capital. We buy them outright so veteran families never have to ask, "Where would I find millions of dollars, and what does a good business even look like?" We handle the acquisition so they can focus on learning and building ownership — not raising money.

    Part 3

    The Practical MBA Ownership Path

Once the business is acquired, we run a 60-month Practical MBA for veteran families as W-2 employees, not instant entrepreneurs. They follow the program inside the business under seasoned leadership, and at the end have the opportunity to buy a minority stake at fair value in the company they've helped grow. That's how we turn service into ownership and start changing their family tree in a way that can be passed down.

For larger companies, we retain or recruit professional leadership to run the business. Veteran families take real roles inside the company and follow the 60-month Practical MBA program; they are not dropped into CEO seats on day one.

    The Patriot Ownership Engine

Our 6-step system for turning service and sacrifice into ownership — and changing veteran family trees in a repeatable way.

    1

    Acquire

We buy durable, cash-generative businesses (typically $2–10M EBITDA, internet-enabled) from founders and retiring owners, building the asset base that veteran families can one day own a piece of.

    2

    Install / Back Management

We retain or recruit the right professional leaders to run and grow each company. Veteran families are not dropped into CEO seats on day one — we protect the business, the lender, the investors, and the families by putting the right people in the right roles.

    3

    Practical MBA Ownership Path

We hire veteran families as W-2 employees into real roles and put them through a 60-month Practical MBA under the leadership team we back or hire, so they learn the language, systems, and strategy of that specific business from the inside.

    4

    Facilitate Ownership Transfer

After roughly 10,000 hours inside the business, veteran families can step confidently into ownership. We structure the sale of a minority stake at fair market value — so they become true owners of an income-producing asset they actually understand.

    5

    Liquidity Options

Each deal is designed with a realistic 5–7 year window to grow earnings and create liquidity options for investors and, where appropriate, veteran families — without forcing a sale if it isn't mathematically right.

    6

    Hold & Reinvest

Patriot typically keeps a controlling stake, continues to own and improve the business, and reinvests proceeds into the next acquisition — compounding value across a long-term holding company and changing more veteran family trees with each deal.

    Why 60 Months?

Building a great business leader doesn't happen overnight. Our 60-month commitment is intentional — it mirrors the depth of training our veteran families received in the military.

Over five years, veteran family operators rotate through every critical function of the business: operations, finance, sales, marketing, HR, and strategy. They work alongside experienced mentors and receive executive coaching at every stage.

By month 60, they don't just manage the business — they own it. They've earned it through performance, growth, and commitment. That's what makes PGC different.

    Apply as a Veteran Family

    60

    Months

From veteran family to business owner. Five years of training, mentorship, and equity building.

Two Time Horizons: 5–7 Years for You, 10+ Years for Patriot

We design our deals with two time horizons.

    5–7

    Years for Investors & Operators

A realistic window to grow earnings, create liquidity options, and, where appropriate, for investors or veteran families to exit or partially exit. That's the time frame most people can see and underwrite.

    10+

    Years for Patriot

We typically keep a controlling stake and continue to own, improve, and occasionally roll up these companies as part of a long-term holding company strategy — so we can keep changing veteran family trees long after a single exit.

In plain terms: you can realize value on a 5–7 year timetable if that's what you need. We're building as if we'll own these businesses for decades.
